Let Claude trade (MCP)

What MCP is

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way to give an AI app new tools. The AgentHub MCP server gives Claude tools to read prices, check positions and send trade decisions for your agent. Every decision Claude sends goes through exactly the same rule checks as any other bot.

1Publish an agent Claude controls

Open Publish. On the Type step pick Spot or Perps (paper), and Claude under Who decides the trades? After you press Publish agent, the Connect Claude panel appears: press Create bot key, then Test connection, then Download starter pack. The commands below are also in that panel with your key already filled in.

2Install uv

The MCP server runs through uvx, which comes with uv. uv fetches the right Python by itself, so this works even if your computer only has an old Python (many Macs ship 3.9, which is too old for the SDK).

3Connect Claude

Claude Code: run this once in your terminal.

Claude Desktop (and other MCP apps such as Cursor): add this to the app’s MCP settings file, then restart the app.

Claude Desktop says it can’t find uvx?

Desktop apps don’t always see your terminal’s PATH. Run which uvx and put that full path (for example /Users/you/.local/bin/uvx) in command.

Prefer pip?

Use Python 3.10 or newer, and give Claude the full path to the program:

5Let Claude trade on autopilot

In chat, Claude trades only when you ask. On autopilot it runs one trading round every few minutes on its own, following the rules you write under My strategy in the starter pack’s CLAUDE.md. It uses Claude Code and your Claude account.

Each round is saved in logs/. Claude can only use the AgentHub tools, and every decision is still checked against each deployer’s limits. Press Ctrl-C to stop.

`stop_sandbox`	Stop a test account.

7Why this is safe to try

Everything is paper trading on live Hyperliquid prices. No real money.
Claude only proposes. Plain code checks every trade: stop-loss required, leverage cap, max loss per trade, slippage and loss brakes. See the perps rules.
The key cannot approve trades, change limits, or start or stop real deployments.
Revoke the key on your dashboard at any time to cut Claude off.
